Stratford-upon-Avon is getting ready for an unforgettable celebration of health, wellbeing, fun and community as we bring World Table Tennis Day 2026 right into the heart of our town!
This year we’ll be running TWO major venues simultaneously, both packed with action, activities and a huge open Bat & Chat session where anyone can simply turn up, pick up a bat, and experience the benefits of table tennis.

Both venues will be running all day with lots of tables available and a full National & World Championships Fan Zone experience, including:
🔥 Speed guns – how fast is your shot?
🤖 Table tennis robots
🎯 Target boards & challenges
🏓 Mini tables
🎲 2Pong & Polybat fun games
2Pong is a super fun two-player table tennis game designed to make rallies easier, longer, and more exciting for everyone — especially beginners.
🏓 How it works:
• Two people play against each other like normal table tennis
• BUT instead of one Paddle ( Bat ) … you use TWO Paddles at the same time!
• The aim is to keep both rallies going as long as possible
😂 Why it’s so fun:
• It becomes fast, chaotic and hilarious very quickly
• It’s great for laughs, reaction speed, and coordination
• Even non-players can join in because it’s not about being perfect — it’s about having fun!
🔥 Perfect for events like World Table Tennis Day because it creates big energy, big smiles, and attracts crowds fast.
🏓 How Polybat works:
• It’s played on a smaller table (often with raised edges/sides)
• Players use flat plastic bats
• A larger, slower ball is used (easier to see and control)
• The ball is usually allowed to roll and bounce, making rallies longer and easier
• The rules are simple: hit the ball back and keep the rally going
👥 Why it’s so popular:

We will also have a Butterfly Therapy Table, a bespoke table tennis setup designed to support people living with:

🏓 PING STRATFORD TABLES – FREE PLAY ALL DAY!
As well as the two main venues, FREE bats and balls will be available at all Ping Stratford-upon-Avon outdoor tables for the duration of the event — and the tables will also be re-branded specially for World Table Tennis Day.

For our World Table Tennis Day Celebrations on Thursday 23rd April 2026, we’re excited to announce that we will be working with the Pongmasters App to help coordinate and deliver our town-wide table tennis festival across multiple locations in Stratford-upon-Avon.
