We are pleased to welcome BAFTA nominated director Duncan Cowles to the festival for a special Q&A screening of his acclaimed documentary Silent Men.

A thoughtful, accessible and compassionate documentary that challenges traditional ideas of masculinity and promotes greater emotional openness. Cowles, explores “the awkward art of expressing emotion” and compares his own experiences with other men, who also find it difficult to talk about their feelings or be open to emotional intimacy, even with the people they dearly love.

This event is presented in partnership with The Wild Wood Connection Project as part of its Social Saturdays scheme. The project is all about bringing men together through shared experiences, new opportunities, and meaningful community connections.
