Originally a church-owned badminton hall, The Bear Pit has been transformed to a 110-seater intimate space. The theatre provides a stage for our own in-house theatre company performances, community cinema, play readings and creative writing events. It is also available for hire by visiting theatre companies and external hires.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, skill, knowledge and enthusiasm within our Bear Pit Member Community. We are passionate about providing a professional, friendly and welcoming environment for actors, creatives and the member volunteers that keep our theatre alive.
This website forms part of the Warwickshire UKSPF programme. It is delivered by Stratford-upon-Avon BID on behalf of Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council.
