Join us for a series of relaxed Saturday sessions celebrating the stories, people and places that have shaped Stratford-upon-Avon. We’re open 1.30-4.30pm every Saturday just off Sheep St.
Each week, we’re inviting you to share your memories around themes including nature, the postal service, pubs and brewing and theatre. Add your stories to our memory box, spark conversations with others and help connect the past with the present.
While you’re here, explore our themed displays, take part in our family-friendly explorer trail, pick from our selection of board games, enjoy a drink from the café or chat with our facilitator, who’ll be on hand to help you get started with researching your family history and how it may tie to the town.
As we build towards Heritage Open Days in September, these sessions offer a chance to share your memories and explore the themes that will feature in our upcoming programme of talks.
Saturdays here at the Escape Arts & Heritage Centre are connected to The People’s Archive of Stratford-upon-Avon, a community archive that we’ll be launching later this year. Your memories and contributions will help build a lasting collection of local stories for future generations.
Drop in, get involved and help celebrate Stratford-upon-Avon’s heritage.
These sessions are made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund!
