About the business
The Blue Planet Effect in 2018 was a remarkable one, and seemingly overnight it made more people keenly aware of the plastic problem facing our world. Millions of single use plastics and toxic chemicals crippling our wildife, plus the associated carbon footprint of packaging and tranporting it all. The amount of (often unrecyclable) packaging on virtually every item can be overwhelmingly depressing, and was in complete contrast to the type of conscious living I wanted for my family.
Meeting in the park with friends in 2018, I talked about dreams for a place where I could shop without all the excessive packaging; in fact, without any packaging at all. If only society’s way of living could become more zero waste… And so the idea of Zero was born. A shop dispensing locally sourced, great value, everyday products to in whatever containers you happen to have. Zero plastic, zero waste. Zero.
